Multi-region Blu-ray player,

The Curtis International (not Curtis Matthes) DVD1102 Blu-ray player is based on other players that have the multi-region option such as the Momitsu BDP-899, Sherwood BDP-5004, Curtis Mathes CMMBX130, and Vision Quest VQM-1000-BLU. It will play both NTSC and PAL format disks. I was able to play region 2 DVDs by entering a code using the remote. The player is normally set to USA region 1 and Blu-ray region "A" from the factory. In order to change the region code, you need to do the following (according to other reviews, you need to reenter the Blu-ray code if you are not viewing an "A" region compatible Blu-ray disk when the unit is powered up).
Turn on the power and the disk loading compartment must not be sticking out (it also must be empty). Enter the following six digit code using the remote:
9735DB (D represents the regular DVD region code such as 0 for all regions, 1 for USA, 2 for Europe)
