It works, sometimes. Definitely NOT for the DVD Avatar though. Cons, remote control is cheaply made, you cannot use the player without it because there's no power button on front of the player, there's no pinhole to force open the player to take out DVDs in case of failure, and my remote broke so when I went to replace it the remote cost $26 on EBay and amazingly enough the whole unit new here at Amazon is $27! As a consolation, I went to the Curtis site and I can get one if I send a check for $15 to Curtis in (I think) Canada.
Spend a little more and get a decent DVD player.

I bought this player after Christmas and it broke in early Febuary! I only had it for a little over a month. A complete waste of money in my opinion
