We bought the princess version and had the same problem. After trying to get it replaced for months, we finally got a new one. The new one eventually started doing the same thing - freezes up and makes a loud drilling-type sound. I expected more from Disney!

I purchased this DVD player in November, 2007 for my granddaughter for Christmas. In January it completely quit working. I contacted Disney Shopping (where I originally purchased it) but I got no help until July when I was finally told to return it. Then I heard nothing until September when it was finally returned (supposedly a new player). It wasn't opened until October when I returned it to my granddaughter (who lives 100 miles from me). After about three weeks.........same thing - it quit working. It is a very poor item and Disney has a very poor customer service. I will never shop them again! (Disney also has no place to rate a product).
