GoVideo's shiny D640 does double duty as a movie source and a digital media player, giving you a choice of video outputs as well as decoding for the popular MP3 and Windows Media Audio music formats. If you burn pictures from your digital camera to CD-Rs and CD-RWs, you can even use the player for watching slideshows right on your TV--you're no longer tethered to your PC when you're ready to share your shots with friends and family. Use standard CD-R/CD-RW media filled with JPEG images, or burn Kodak Picture CDs for even greater viewing options--fancy transitions, timing options, etc. It's also fully equipped to display seamless, flicker-free progressive-scan images on high-definition or HD-ready TVs, whether your living room is currently home to one or you're merely thinking of "someday." Progressive scanning, referred to as 480p for the number of horizontal lines that compose the video image, creates a picture using twice the scan lines of a conventional DVD picture, giving you higher resolution and sharper images while eliminating nearly all motion artifacts.
