2 of 2 people found the following review helpful: By A Customer This review is from: GoVideo DVP1100 Progressive-Scan DVD Player (Electronics) I got GoVideo's DVP1100 in March 2003 and had some trouble necessitating several calls to customer service: when it didn't play after inserting a DVD and when the door got stuck. The advice they gave me solved those problems at the time. However, we had used it only 4 times when it went kaput altogether. In July, the door became permanently stuck in the closed position (trapping a rental DVD inside). GoVideo then advised me to bring the unit to Radioshack for repair. After attempting to repair the DVD player, Radioshack informed me that the part needed for repair was no longer manufactured by GoVideo. I couldn't believe this! After buying it less than 6 months ago, repairing my DVD player is impossible?! GoVideo confirmed this, and they also told me that the same was true of all their DVP models.
