JVC XV-S45GD DVD Player, Gold

I received this as a birthday present and can actually say that this works great! I've tried all my DVDs and found no problems with it. Sharp, bright and clear pictures is all I can say about this. Playing CDs was no problem. I read every CD with no glitches. Would actually buy this if it wasn't given to me.

I purchased this player and, once i got it hooked up, found that its picture is dazzling. There are only two problems. One is that my TV is only cable ready and needed an RF modulator. About $32.00 including tax. the other problem is my husband wants to wrap it up and put it back under the tree. This is certainly not a low end player and, while it doesn't have all the bells, buttons, and whistle of a high end player, it is great for someone who enjoys watching movies and an excellent picture.

I Bought this for my husband as a gift. The sound quality of the DVDs outstanding, especiallly when hooked up to a surround sound system. (CDs sound great, too.) A very lightweight, compact unit. I chose the gold finish, and it's very attractive.

I've only had one problem with the player...During a movie the player has paused for maybe 1/2 a second then resumed play. This doesn't really make a big difference in the movie viewing experience, but for the price I paid, I was disappointed that this would happen.
