The movies look great (but I don't have many players to compare with).
+ Plays name brand and generic DVD +/-R media. Haven't tried +/-RW. + Plays the jpegs on CD-Rs as a slideshow. + Loads a 4 megapixel (approx 1.8MB) jpeg image in about 14s which seems to go by relatively quickly because the image is being displayed top to bottom while loading. The manual recommends a max of "2400 pixels" (2.4mp?). + Can play MP3 and WMA files.
- The LED next to the current tray that's being used flashes during the entire playback of the movie. Very irritating. Flashing is used to quickly grab attention, not as a lengthy indicator. - The trays feel flimsy. I would've preferred the 5 disc carousel used by the Sony 665. - The numbering of the disc trays start at 5 at the top to 1 at the bottom. Wouldn't it be more obvious to put 1 at the top and 5 at the bottom?
