Progressive Scan DVD and Audio CD Player features disc playback of DVD, VCD, SVCD, DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+R, and DVD+RW discs. Also plays back CD-DA, CD-R, CD-RW, MP3 & WMA encoded burned discs, and JPEG Picture CD's (individual JPG file up to 5MB). Progressive scan gives true digital experience when connected to HDTV and the best quality when connected to standard TV's through the component output. S Video and Composite video outputs are also available for those TV's not equipped for component or progressive scan feeds. Digital output for Dolby Digital 5.1 and DTS audio passthrough from DVD player to Home Theater system. The system plays virtually all discs available, and its Active Navigation and Menu Controls allow the user to set up each DVD to the TV being used along with the added benefits of language selection, zoom (X5), Fast and Slow Forward and Reverse, Chapter skip, audio set up, and other features to make each movie or audio disc perform to the best standards. Includes full function remote control (with 2 AAA batteries included) and 3 way composite video cable so it can be opened and connected to most TV's right out of the box. The Audio CD features are seen on the TV and programming can be done on a TV Screen. JPEG picture CD capabilities allows to build a slide show with the pictures and encoded MP3/WMA music (when pictures and music are encoded onto single disc).
