Product Review

Panasonic DVD-RV32 DVD Player This unit can play both the PAL and NTSC video systems. To view PAL or NTSC, however, your television must match the system used on the disc. PAL discs cannot be correctly viewed on an NTSC television. CD-R and CD-RW discs This unit can play CD-DA (digital audio) and video CD format audio CD-R and CD-RW that have been finalized (a process that enables CD-R and CD-RW players to play audio CD-R and CD-RW) upon completion of recording. It may not be able to play some CD-R/RW due to the condition of the recording. DVD-R discs Panasonic DVD-R recorded and finalized on a Panasonic DVD video recorder are played as DVD-Video on this unit.

1.0 out of 5 stars Dead after 13 months, August 23, 2003

I'm very disappointed with the quality of this unit.
First, only after only a few months of use, the color tone of the picture would change every 20 minutes or so. It would "jump" into a darker/color richer tone. I never had the time to have this fixed.
Now after 13 months the unit stopped playing altogether, displaying the error code "F07".
When you search the web you will find this is not an uncommon issue with the Panasonic players, and it requires to be serviced by a professional.
It is just not money you want to spend after using it for just one year.
A big thumb down and I will not be buying a Panasonic again.

I've had this DVD player for about 5 years and I've had no trouble with it. It was one of the first DVD players to play DVD-Rs. The only reason i stopped using it was because I got an HD TV and needed an upconversion DVD player.
