This review is from: Philips HTS3051B/F7 Blu-Ray Home Cinema with 1080p Upconversion and iPod Dock (Electronics) It was a refurb. It worked out of the box. It definitely provides greatly enhanced sound over the Vizio 42 inch HDTV I have it connected to. (Although the Vizio sounded much better than expected.) You will never confuse it with a system worthy of an audiophile but you should be very content when using as a means to simply listen to some music, watch some hdtv with improved surround sound capability or watching blu-ray with enhanced audio. I can't imagine anything better for the price but if you want something that really fills the room with totally awesome sound, then spend a few hundred dollars more and don't get this. I highly recommend it for what it is. 2 of 5 people found the following review helpful: By This review is from: Philips HTS3051B/F7 Blu-Ray Home Cinema with 1080p Upconversion and iPod Dock (Electronics) I recently bought this product refurbished from Best Buy. It wasn't until I got off the phone with the clueless tech support operator (I'm pretty sure she googled for solutions) that I realized I would have to "please wait" for another two weeks while Philips finds it in their schedule to send me a replacement. Now, I'm no quality-control professional, but I can logically deduce one thing about selling refurbished models: when you want to restore a...Read more |
