RCA 7" Portable DVD Player - Black (DRC6327E)

Comment: Despite the other reviewers, this RCA DVD player is not horrible for the price. I've had one since June 2009, and we've put it through its paces. It has survived multiple car trips (over 4 hours) and one airplane trip to Florida without any trouble. It does a good job outputting to a SD TV too. However, it has a few problems. For starters, the buttons are poorly labeled. In fact, there are four buttons that don't even have labels. Additionally, the screen and speaker don't shut off when outputting to the TV. Finally, the battery can not be removed. It certainly beats the no-name models we've purchased before.

Comment: This is the worst portable DVD player we have ever had. Once again, dissapointed with another RCA product. We have had it for about a month and already the sound is going out, it gets stuck on the "loading" screen, and the disc spinning is extremely loud. I wouldn't recommend wasting a penny on this, or anyother RCA product.

Comment: I bought this for my children for Christmas, because I thought it was a great (black friday) deal. We put in a new dvd, and it wouldn't get past the "loading" screen. The DVD worked fine in 2 other players afterwards, but we tried a different DVD in the RCA player, and it was fine.

We tried a DVD +R in there, and it wouldn't work (it claims to). We tried another purchased DVD we had watched the night before in another machine, it wouldn't work. We tried a 5th DVD in there, it also wouldn't work. I don't care how cheap this player was, if it only plays 1/6th of the DVDs we load, it is useless. Buy any other machine. This one is horrendous.

Comment: I received this as a gift - but the device stopped reading discs after about 1 month and I had no receipt. The customer service department at my local electronics store said that it was not worth it to fix, so I had not choice but to dump it. I would stay away from this model.
