RCA BRC11072 Blu-Ray Disc Player

I bought this for the size. I wanted a small streaming device that I could fit into a cabinet built into the side of a chimney adjacent to where the tv is mounted that I modified to hold my entertainment equipment, the door opening is only 13" so I thought this would be the answer. When I took it from the box, I marveled at how light and cheaply made it felt. But I wasn't deterred from trying to make it work. When I tried to set it up, I marveled at how the *^#$y remote worked intermittently (yes, I removed the plastic inside the battery compartment, like the RCA manual indicated this was the trouble shooting option for non-working remote, and I had fresh batteries) Trying to connect to the internet was another issue, I haven't tried any disks as I primarily wanted it for streaming, I can't imagine how to make it work inside the cabinet when it wont recognize the remote from 1 foot away, and you can't use the device with out it. Absolute worst piece of technology I've ever owned! Haven't made it through a single blu-ray or dvd yet without problems, and it's been I've had it over 4 months.

Just received this yesterday, and am returning it today. Makes a loud vibrating sound when loading the disc. Sometimes the buttons on the remote work, and sometimes they don't. Doesn't play some DVD's that work fine on my other player. Sometimes pauses for a second during DVD play.
