Toshiba SD-K741 Progressive Scan Dvd Player

I've only had this DVD player about a week but it's exceeded all my expectations. I bought this player aware that it wasn't rated to play DVD RW's, which I wanted, but the price was attractive and it was labeled to do everything else. It's rated to play DVD-R but rarely will it do so. So far it's reliably played DVD+R and DVD+RW discs, which it's not rated to play. My experience to date is that it's not necessary to use DVD media costing a dollar or more. Currently I'm using 40 cent a disc DVD+R discs and playing them with complete success. So, with this DVD player read the manual but don't put much confidence in it.

It worked flawlessly for about 6 months, but now it just keeps ejecting the DVD's over and over. At first it was just once in awhile, now it's all the time. Too bad. I really liked it, but now it is just a cup holder!
