Mine worked great, but not for long,

This review is from: Toshiba SD1010KV Multi Region Codefree Progressive Scan DVD Player With Dual Voltage for Worldwide Use (Electronics)
Bought it in August, and it died in November. Wouldn't upset me if it were a 30 buck unit, I figure you're only renting those for a year at best. But for $50-60 I expect 1-2 years.
Aside from this, good, transparent dealing with different regions and PAL discs. Sometimes a bit noisy in play. The dual power cord is just a European cord with a weirdly loose adaptor. Might be a plus if you take your DVD on European trips -- but I suspect power cord problems were also the reason for its short life.
With this problem, shouldn't cost more than $30
EDIT: Okay, messing with the unit to eject the last DVD, I seem to have it working again. But I have no faith in it now, and am not cancelling the (different-model) replacement I've ordered from Amazon. I pretty much stand by the whole review, but of course you deserve to know it's working again. If it's still working in a year, which I doubt, I will edit it to upgrade.
