Yamaha DVD-C961BL 5-Disc DVD-Audio/Super Audio CD Changer (Black)
Comment: After owning and using a Yamaha 5 disc CD player for years, I decided to get this unit to replace a broken DVD player.
The picture quality is great as is the audio quality. My only real complaint is how long the unit takes to recognize what type of disc it just loaded. It can range anywhere from a few seconds to a full minute. And there does not appear to be any rhyme or reason to the delay. The delay varies on the same disc.

Summary: It's a waste of money!!! 2008-01-22
Comment: Just 3 days after having this unit, it just froze up. It won't play anything. The carousel won't open. Only the Dimmer button on the remote will function. This is my first and definitely my LAST YAMAHA product that I will buy.

Summary: Divx suggestion 2008-01-14
Comment: Just a quick tip for those playing a dvd or cd using divx converter: if you press fast forward or reverse normally, nothing happens and a null sign pops up on the TV. However, if you press and hold the ff or reverse button for a few seconds, it works as it should. Not sure if this is an issue (error?) with Yamaha or Divx, but I thought this suggestion might save someone some aggravation.
